The Arrius collection

Every Arrius is built of solid wood, assembled and finished by hand, and delivered numbered with its certificate of authenticity. The models differ in construction, woods and voice, and each answers a different player. Here is how to find your way among them.

Collage of the Arrius collection: S-1000 and MPR-5000 classical guitars and the UK-1500 ukulele

The heart of the collection: MPR-5000

If you see only one Arrius, let it be the Arrius MPR-5000. It is the master-grade guitar of our MPR series and the instrument on which much of our reputation was built: special-grade solid Canadian cedar over solid Indian rosewood, an additional resonance port that lets the player hear the full voice of the guitar, a raised ebony fingerboard for free access to the high positions, and a solid ebony armrest. It is warm, deep and generous, and it is the guitar we point most players to first. Discover the MPR-5000.

Classical guitars

S-1000 — the concert instrument

A double top of cedar and spruce around a Nomex core, back and sides of Indian rosewood with ziricote, Spanish cedar neck and ebony armrest. Our most powerful guitar, for concert halls, competitions and ensembles.

MPR-5000 — master grade

Solid Canadian cedar and Indian rosewood, a raised ebony fingerboard, an ebony armrest, an additional resonance port and eight-layer binding. Also available in limited series with precious decoration.

MPR-400 — professional, all solid

The principles of the MPR-5000 at a more accessible price: cedar or AAA spruce, Indian rosewood or Java ebony, in a traditional construction without the resonance port and the raised fingerboard.

MPR-100 S — with a rounded cutaway

Easy access to the highest frets without losing body, a balanced voice across all registers, a lattice-reinforced top of cedar or spruce over solid mahogany.

Ukulele

UK-1500 — master grade ukulele

Our guitar-building solutions in a small body: transverse reinforcement, solid flamed maple and mahogany, pearl binding and a lifetime warranty.

All our classical guitars share a 650 mm scale, a 52 mm nut and the same traditional body: 480 mm long, 370 mm wide and 100 mm deep. Why we keep these dimensions.

How to choose in three questions

  1. Where do you play most? In a concert hall or with an ensemble, start with the S-1000. At home, in lessons and in recitals, start with the MPR-5000.
  2. How high does your music go? If you live above the twelfth fret, choose between the raised fingerboard of the MPR-5000 and the cutaway of the MPR-100 S.
  3. Which voice do you love? Warm and immediate points to cedar; clear and growing points to spruce. The MPR-400 and MPR-100 S let you choose.
